Welcome to Seedlings Preschool. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment where children can explore, play and learn with confidence.
Based within the grounds of Forest & Sandridge CE Primary School, our preschool helps children become familiar with the school environment from an early stage, supporting a smooth transition into Reception.
Our experienced team creates a calm, engaging setting where every child is encouraged to develop independence, curiosity and a love of learning.
Our Offer
Seedlings Preschool offers places for children aged 3 to 4 years within a nurturing 24-place setting, designed to provide a calm and supportive environment where every child is known and valued.
We offer provision during term time, Monday to Friday, with children attending either three or five full days per week. Our daily sessions run between approximately 8:45am–3:10pm or 9:00am–3:15pm, allowing for a smooth and flexible start and end to the day.
Our approach is centred on supporting children’s development through a balance of structured learning and play-based experiences, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. We focus on helping children build confidence, independence and the key skills they need as they prepare for school.
As part of Forest & Sandridge CE Primary School, children also benefit from being within the wider school environment. This helps them to become familiar with school life and supports a smooth and confident transition into Reception.
Fees and Funding
We aim to keep our preschool provision accessible and transparent for families.
Fees are charged at £5.00 per hour, with a daily consumables charge of £2.50 to cover resources, snacks and materials used throughout the day.
We offer both 15 hours and 30 hours of funded early education for eligible 3- and 4-year-olds. These government-funded hours can be used towards your child’s sessions at preschool, depending on eligibility.
