There’s no better way to start the day than a stroll to school in the sunshine. Throughout term six, in the run up to the summer holidays, we are encouraging our pupils to swap the Wednesday morning car ride for a more energetic alternative.
Walk and Roll Wednesdays is about inspiring children to lead a more active lifestyle. Our pupils are invited to walk, cycle, or scoot to school, and when they arrive, they’ll receive a sticker for their efforts. The children don’t have to walk the whole way to school — they will still be rewarded with a sticker for walking, cycling, or scooting even just some of the journey!
There’s also more than just individual glory at stake. The class with the most walkers and rollers will win a chance to roll the classopoly dice in Golden Book Worship!
Walk and Roll Wednesdays is an initiative we are really excited about, and one week into term six, we have already seen children making more effort to be active. Let’s hope this continues.
Good luck, everyone!
