Poplar Class

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord… “Plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Hello and welcome to Poplar Class! We have an exciting year ahead, I hope that everyone’s looking forward to our learning. We are Year 6 and our class teacher is Miss Kilbey. We are also lucky enough to have lots of supportive Teaching Assistants to help us with our learning.

During Terms Three and Four Year 6 are working on the theme 'Have Courage and Show Respect'. We will be immersing ourselves in learning about World War 11 and learning vital map skills to help us when we're out and about. We've been reading Goodnight Mr Tom and the children have been so engaged! With their brilliant questions we have already been able to take our learning to a deep and meaningful level. Well done Year 6!
