Chestnut Class

Welcome to Chestnut class. We are a year 4 class and our class teachers are: Mrs Bacon (Mon and Tues) and Mrs Hearn (Wed-Fri).
Our Teaching Assistants are: Mrs Caven, Mrs Parfitt and Mrs Chilcott. We are looking forward to a really exciting year in Chestnut class.

Topic Information

Term 1 and 2 topic is “Stone Age, Bone Age” where children will time travel back to the Stone Age and look at changes from the Stone Age to the Iron Age.

PE will be on Tuesdays and some Wednesdays. Please can children have named indoor and outdoor kit in school.

Outdoor Learning sessions are on 18th Nov, 27th Nov, 4th Dec, 11th Dec, 18th Dec when children need clothes suitable for the weather conditions.

We will aim to visit the woods on the 4th and 11th December and so if you are able to come along and help then please let us know (8.50-10.30am).

We encourage reading every day and have a Reading Flower Race in class.

Spellings are set on Mondays and tested the following Monday in their yellow Spelling books. The children can use the Spelling book to practice their spellings at home but need to remember to bring it to school every Monday.

Each child has a TT Rock stars login for times tables practice- please practice these as often as you can.
