Welcome to Seedlings Preschool!
In Seedlings Pre-School our Class Teacher is Mrs Ginny Roberts. We have 2 wonderful specialised Early Years TA’s called, Miss Nicole Sherman and Mrs Natalie Jones.
We are blessed to have such a wonderful inside and outside provision here in Seedlings. We cannot wait to show your children around!
We have a FANTASTIC year planned ahead! We cannot wait to meet you and get to know you all. We are excited about making new friends and learning new routines and boundaries in our new Pre-School setting.
Sometimes it will take our Pre-Schooler’s a little while to settle and adapt into a new setting, especially if this is the first time they have been away from their parents/home. Pleases do not worry. This is absolutely normal and we will work together with you to do what is best for your child and helping them to feel happy and settled.
Our theme this term is called ‘Marvellous Me’. We will use this to inspire some of our learning and activities. During this theme we will be thinking and talking about ourselves, our families and how we are different/similar.
If you have any questions or worries about your child in Seedlings, then please don’t hesitate to contact Mrs Roberts (Early Years Lead and Seedlings Class Teacher) via Class Dojo.
Seedlings Preschool — Nurture, Grow, Flourish
The first steps in education are important for every child. At Seedlings Preschool, we are committed to creating a positive, safe, and nurturing Christian environment, where all members of the preschool and wider community are respected and valued. Within God’s love, we will support and encourage one another to grow and flourish; to be the very best we can be.
Seedlings Preschool introduces children to the world of education through fun and engaging activities. We focus on the individual needs of each child and help them to develop the foundational skills that are so crucial in early years learning.
Our preschool is located on the site of our wonderful primary school, which ensures young children become familiar with the atmosphere of a school and spending time near older children. We’ve found this to be highly beneficial for children who progress from our preschool to our primary school, as they settle in quickly to familiar surroundings.
The Seedlings Preschool provision is available for 3- to 4-year-olds and provided by a team of experienced carers and educators. Our preschool is open, during term time, Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., giving parents the ability to choose a morning, afternoon, or full-day provision.
With development at the heart of our preschool provision, we follow the early years curriculum framework. That means our curriculum is centred upon ensuring children:
- Learn and develop well.
- Are kept safe and healthy.
- Have the knowledge and skills they need to start school.
Complementing our curriculum are our fantastic facilities and resources. We understand that establishing an environment conducive to learning gives children the best chance to develop and progress. Seedlings Preschool offers children a range of facilities, including:
- A classroom designed to comfortably cater for 26 children.
- A large outside learning area.
- Secure boundaries.
- Toilets within the main classroom area, including accessible toilets.
Funding for Children
At Seedlings Preschool, we are delighted to be able to offer both 30 hours’ and 15 hours’ free childcare to the parents of 3- and 4-year-olds. We understand the financial impact preschool can have on families, so we are pleased that the parents of children attending our nursery have access to support funding.
The funding is provided by the government. To secure funding for your child, visit the government website by clicking one of the buttons below.
