Welcome to Poplar!

Hello and Welcome!

Welcome to our class page! Our Teacher is Mr Sykes and we are very lucky to have four fantastic Teaching Assistants. They are Mrs Birkett, Mrs Holdway, Mrs Leat and Mr Merriman. We are equally as lucky to have Miss Usher who will be training to be a teacher with us this year. We are looking forward to having another fantastic year in Poplar Class!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to see Mr Sykes.

Our topic for Terms 3 and 4 is:

What A Wonderful World!

A new year finds us with a new theme, and this term our theme is ‘What a Wonderful World'. This will remain for Terms 3 and 4. It is a Geography based theme on geographical features from around the world.

Our new theme will include looking at Sikh stories in RE, Animals and Humans in Science and famous artists in Art.

Additional Home Learning:

If you would like to do some additional learning at home, there are some great websites for research and revision. Hit the Button is a great way to practise your tables and BBC KS2 Bitesize has lots of opportunities to practise a wide variety of English, Maths and Science topics. Or perhaps you could make a PowerPoint or poster about something you have learnt. I would love to see it smiley
